It was a night to remember at Swanson Stadium, as Jefferson’s Varsity Flag Football and Varsity Football teams each delivered statement wins over Boylan.

The evening kicked off with a dominant performance from the J-Hawk girls in flag football, who rolled past the Titans in a 42-0 shutout. Senior leadership powered the way, with Mariah Williams, Dereona Edison-Love, Kelly Miller, Mi’Aerie Good, Raniah Clinton-Davis, and Mercedes Hollins all making their mark. Three of Jefferson’s five seniors found the end zone, setting the tone for a balanced offensive attack and a stifling defensive effort that never let Boylan find momentum.

The energy carried into the nightcap, where Jefferson’s football team battled to a 13-7 victory in a hard-fought contest. Quarterback Jaden Williams connected with Janardie Turner for a touchdown pass, while De’Anglos Roby broke through for a rushing score to give the J-Hawks the edge.

Defensively, Jefferson was rock-solid from start to finish. Punter Anthony Marquez played a critical role in controlling field position, flipping the field multiple times to keep Boylan pinned deep. The defense held firm in the fourth quarter, sealing the win for the red and gold.

With both victories, Jefferson fans left Swanson Stadium celebrating a clean sweep over the Titans and a surge of momentum for fall sports.
