🏈 Mariah Williams – Flag Football
Williams powered the J-Hawks to a 19-6 win over East, scoring two touchdowns to lead the way in the program’s season-opening victory.

📣 Akyra Champion – Cheer
Akyra has distinguished herself as a leader on the cheer team, setting the standard through her performance, energy, and positive influence as a role model for her peers.

Abril Santacruz – Volleyball: A dedicated student-athlete showing relentless determination on the court and in academics.

Mike Townsend Jr. – Football: A two-way force vs. Hononegah with 11 receptions for 141 yards and a touchdown, while also leading by example on and off the field.

Maci Bracius – Volleyball: A freshman starter making an immediate impact as a varsity hitter, stepping up with maturity and adaptability.

Jefferson Girls Varsity Tennis vs Rockford Christian – 9/10
The J-Hawks played on their home courts against Rockford Christian.

Singles Highlights:

Senior Jessica Castaneda dominated her match, winning in straight sets 6-0, 6-1.

Sophomore Lydia Penix also came through strong, securing a 6-4, 6-2 victory.

Doubles Play: Despite strong rallies and effort across all courts, the J-Hawks doubles teams came up short against a tough Rockford Christian lineup.
